Default Ray Bradbury has died

Its another sad day in science fiction, author Ray Bradbury (91!!) has passed on.....wow, just wow.
I think one of the first sci-fi books I read was martian chronicles and everyone has heard of Fahrenheit 451....

he will be missed by all.

"Something Wicked this Way Comes" is my all time favorite, it is a sad day.

You know I always thought this to be true, but I was proved wrong a week or so ago (odd timing, really). One of my coworkers who professes to be nerdy and read sci-fi and I we were arguing about Christian Bale and his (or lack of) ability to act. I suggested that the only time he's shown emotion in a role was in Equilibrium, that being the one role he wasn't supposed to show any emotion in. He hadn't heard of the movie (no surprise), so I said it was the plot from Fahrenheit 451 shoved into a poorly filmed Matrix, and he was unfamiliar with Fahrenheit 451. I was dumbfounded. I mean, he grew up in Australia, so I'm not sure what their standard "things kids should read" books are, still it seemed odd to me.
